How to Get to and Around Nice

Nice is well-connected to other European cities by train. Once you arrive, there is a good public transportation system.

I flew into Nice Côte d’Azur Airport (NCE) from the U.S. Flights to Nice from the U.S. were noticeably lower than other Southern European cities when I booked!

Once you arrive, there is a good public transportation system. You can rent a car for your comfort, but I didn’t find it necessary.

Where to Stay in Nice

On the higher end, book the Hyatt Regency Nice Palais de la Méditerranée, a luxurious hotel with stunning views of the Mediterranean, located on the Promenade des Anglais.

This is a great booking tool to find hotels.

Other Things to Do in Nice

While I didn’t have time for these on my six days, here are some other notable things to do:

  • Musée Matisse: a museum featuring the works of Henri Matisse, one of the most influential artists of the 20th century.
  • Musée Marc Chagall: a museum dedicated to the works of Marc Chagall, featuring some of his most famous biblical paintings.
  • Musée d’Art Moderne et d’Art Contemporain (MAMAC): a museum of contemporary and modern art collections. It closed for renovations in January 2024.

I hope you enjoyed this 6 Day Nice, France Itinerary!
